First day of spring

At 6:44am it was officially spring. Unfortunately it doesn’t feel like spring because the temperature only made it up to 34 degrees today. But I noticed the tulips in front of my house have popped up so spring must near!

St. Patty’s Day Carriage ride

As I was driving my truck downtown I saw this carriage decked out for St. Patrick’s Day at the bank, in the drive thru of Bank America… Seriously, the carriage driver needed to get some cash or make a deposit… Then as I was driving by he galloped the horse back onto the street right behind me. You just never know what you’ll see here in Chicago. People love St. Patty’s Day around here. People enjoyed both parades last weekend and drank themselves silly.

Quaker Oats billboard Part II

So the advertisement makes a little more sense now that they added a few more pages/information. After I took the first photo I noticed a ton of these ads all over town. And then today I saw the updated billboard. “Rocket to work and spring forward with your day” – or something like that – are the new slogans…

Go Humans Go

Holy Moly! Foto del dia is exactly ONE YEAR OLD today! I sincerely apologize for my tardy posts. I promise to have the entire year updated by posting the images from my last two weeks by tomorrow. (For those of you regulars!) I was in Puerto Rico and have also been working too many double shifts to pay my vacation debt. Stay tuned… for a few beautiful travel photos!

This crazy billboard is near my office on Milwaukee Ave. just south of Chicago Ave. I don’t know if this is the new oatmeal slogan… Maybe the Quaker is a robot?

This fantastic poster or what remains of it, is pasted on a doorway near my office. I drive by it a lot and finally got the photo. I think I have photographed other work by the artist that created this. I love the style.
