Tornado passes by…
The aftermath of a nearby tornado left the city quite a mess. There are trees down all over, lakes in the streets and debris everywhere. My garden looks a bit crooked now as the corn and peppers tilt to the west. As far as I know the tornado didn’t touch the city but the lightning and pelting rain did, taking out tons of branches and entire trees, leaving the power down in many neighborhoods. The suburbs are another story though; people’s homes got knocked over and hit hard by the tornado. (And now it’s been a week since the storm – trees are still laying all over the parks and there are still people without power!)
